🌳 This Labor Day weekend, bring your friends, family, favorite date to Anne Arundel County’s best-loved end-of-summer tradition: Pops in the Park with the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra!
As the largest and oldest performing arts organizations in Anne Arundel County, the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra looks forward to Pops in the Park year after year. Enjoy a FREE outdoor concert full of energy, movie music, patriotic favorites, and unexpected surprises – the perfect way to end summer right.
POPS IN THE PARK – DOWNS PARK
🆓 Totally FREE, including parking.
Bring a blanket, bring your crew — relax, dance, clap your hands and tap your feet while you picnic in the park. Food trucks will be on site. We recommend pre-ordering a picnic from restaurants and caterers close to the park. There are many in the SOFO business district.
Open to all ages — children, adults, and seniors will find many things to love at these concerts! Gather a group of your family, friends and neighbors, and make the event an unforgettable end-of-summer tradition you can cherish.
Laid-back vibes — The weather is warm and the music is hot, so dress for a backyard party or come in your shorts. The ASO isn’t fussy, and neither is Pops in the Park.
Bring strollers, lawn chairs, picnic blankets, picnics and snacks! (No alcohol permitted. Pets must be leashed)
Raffle Registration: A ticket is not required to attend this event. However, when you register in advance, you can win great prizes like tickets to our 2025-26 season concerts. Please arrive after 10:30 AM for free entry into the park. If you arrive before 10:30 AM, you will be charged $6 per car ($5 per handicapped).

Visitors to Pops in the Park can expect to experience classical music, pieces from Broadway and Hollywood, and high-energy symphonic hits that will get the body moving and feet tapping. The powerful sound of 70+ professional musicians reverberating across the park and over the Chesapeake is something not to be missed!The Annapolis Symphony Orchestra is proud to bring More Music, to More People, in More Places across Anne Arundel County, including to county outdoor spaces and parks. The Labor Day Weekend Pops in the Park concerts are intended for music lovers of all ages and are made possible by the Anne Arundel County Arts Council and Anne Arundel County Department Of Recreation and Parks.
