Even though films are ‘Show Business, ‘ artists have a cultural responsibility to examine issues pertinent to us all. We’ll look at clips from feature films and TV series such as To Kill a Mockingbird, Erin Brokovich, Green Book, and The Fog of War to spark a discussion on cultural norms and how stories can change them. In this class, we’ll develop an awareness of the subtext that drives a story.
