Fundamentals Of Local Wildlife Photography age 16+ at Maryland Hall
October 2 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
$116.44
Thursday 9/18-10/23 6:30pm-8pm Price: $116.44
In this course, you will learn how to create beautiful images of abundant local wildlife, which include waterfowl, deer, foxes, small birds, butterflies and insects. You will discover how to maximize your camera and lens settings to capture both moving and still creatures, and explore the different types of wildlife photography. We will explore various light qualities and angles, learning how to utilize light effectively to highlight your subject’s features. Students will discover how image composition can add to the impact of photos. You will learn common animal behaviors that will enable you to anticipate and capture action. Each week, class will begin with a review of student work (anonymously unless requested otherwise!) captured for homework assignments during the intervening week between classes. Midway through the course, instead of meeting for a classroom presentation, students will select one of three field trip locations (one trip being your own backyard) and put their new skills to work in real-life situations. A DSLR or mirrorless camera is required.
