Description

New City of Miami Administration Building:
Deadline: Mar 4, 2026
The total estimated public art budget for this project is $2,914,825.81 (all‑inclusive). It will be divided between each of the six (6) project locations. Budgets for each Project will vary depending on scale, material, and installation complexity. Without any City obligation, anticipated Project commissions may range from $15,000 - $400,000+.
Due: Mar 4, 2026
This RFQ commemorates the City’s incorporation in 1896 and the documented collaboration between Black and white incorporators.
Historical records document the names and racial identities of all incorporators, with approximately 44% of recorded ballots cast by Black citizens. A complete list of incorporators is included as part of the project reference materials and forms a central historical foundation for the artwork. The selected artist or team will create a work that invites reflection on civic participation, shared authorship, and the formation of Miami as a city, while remaining accessible, durable, and appropriate for a prominent public park setting.
Total project budget is $210,000 (all-inclusive). This is a qualifications-based call; no concepts are required at this stage.
