Hanging in both Galleries at the Visitor Center at Quiet Waters Park is the “Marie Linnekin Retrospective” through June 24. For over 50 years, Marie was an artist in Annapolis; her work was shown widely including the MFA, the Maryland College of Art. the Anne Arundel Community College, the University of Maryland as well as the Aurora, Cardinal, Touchtone, Canal House, Metropolitan Life and Torpedo Factory Galleries. Not only are paintings on display
but also drawings and prints. In addition to artworks, Marie was active with the MFA and Maryland Hall. She taught at AACC and hosted an artist critique at her home for years. Teaching was also a passion for Marie and many of her students went on to become accomplished artists. Admission to the park is $6 per vehicle.
