Throughout March (1-31) we are delighted to be showing “New Work” by Sigrid Trumpy. Although best known as a painter, Sigrid also has extensive experience in etching and drypoint. This background plays an important role in her recent paintings, where elements of printmaking naturally find their way into her work. Fine linear marks appear throughout the surfaces, echoing the qualities of etched lines.

Rather than aiming for polished perfection, Sigrid allows imperfections to remain visible. These irregular marks showing the movement of a living hand at work share her process as it unfolds.
