Jo Fleming Contemporary Art presents “Thermal Lift,” an exhibition of paintings by local artist Patrice Drago throughout July.

The exhibition is a series of mixed-media paintings that capture the sensory and emotional experience of summer through layered imagery, luminous color and bold, energetic brushstrokes. Having spent her life exploring and creating all forms of 2D art, she continues to explore new methods and techniques to express the present moment providing a respite against the heavily structured schedule of daily life.

“Thermal Lift” is open through July 30. Meet Drago at an artist reception and talk from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday.
