In this 6-week class, students will expand their wheel throwing skills, practicing, building confidence and learning to be more intentional as they create their clay pieces. Through discussion, demonstration and hands-on experience, we will explore throwing a wider range of forms and incorporating new design elements. The class will cover attachments such as handles and sprig details, surface carving and expanded glaze techniques. Design concepts such as the rule of thirds and form vs function balance will be introduced. Foundational wheel throwing experience is required for this course.
