Jo Fleming Contemporary Art is delighted to present “Elements in Time,” a new exhibition of mixed-media abstract paintings by Maryland-based artist Sally Rhudy.

Drawing inspiration from ancient civilizations, lost knowledge and the enduring language of symbols, Rhudy’s richly layered works explore the relationship between humanity, time and the natural elements. Ancient glyphs, marks and fragments emerge and disappear beneath successive layers, creating paintings that feel at once archaeological yet are bold, colorful and contemporary.

Also on show will be a selection Rachel Waldron works that combine family photographs, drawing, painting and printmaking to explore the threads that connect generations.
