Award-winning Korean American concert pianist and organist Junghoon Park will present a free piano recital at Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church in Severna Park on Sunday, September 20, at 2:00 PM.

Park serves as Organist and Pianist at Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church under Pastor JC Austin and Music Director David Merrill. He is a recipient of Howard County’s Creative Arts Grant and has been selected to the Maryland State Arts Council Performing Artist Touring Roster. He has recently appeared in recital at Market Square Presbyterian Church in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

The recital will celebrate the rich tradition of American music with an all-American program featuring works by Vladimir Horowitz, Art Tatum, Amy Beach, Samuel Barber, George Gershwin, and Leonard Bernstein, including Gershwin’s iconic Rhapsody in Blue and selections from Bernstein’s West Side Story.

Admission is free, and all members of the community are warmly invited to attend this afternoon of inspiring American piano music.
