BWI Exhibit 39: All Around Anne Arundel

All Around Anne Arundel is the theme for the 39th Arts Council of Anne Arundel County exhibit at BWI-Thurgood Marshall International Airport. This show is a celebration of the county we call home, the historic scenes and spaces we wander among, and the people who make here a great place to live and make art.

BWI Exhibit 38: “Winter Around the World”

WINTER AROUND THE WORLD is the theme for the 38th Arts Council of Anne Arundel County’s next exhibit at BWI – Thurgood Marshall International Airport. Artists shared works that reflect the colors, textures, and varied experiences of the winter season from across the globe.

Goldstein Treasury Building Exhibit 1st: “Inspired Surroundings”

Along with our new exhibition partner, the Goldstein Treasury Building, the Arts Council of Anne Arundel County would like to introduce INSPIRED SURROUNDINGS, a new 2-D medium exhibition that asked artists to consider what inspires them to create art – in the form of creating art!

Join us for a public reception in the Goldstein Treasury Building’s Assembly Room on Monday, February 12th, 2024, from 5:30 pm to 7 pm. Registration is now closed. To attend this event, all attendees need to bring a government-issued ID. The nearest parking can be found at Gott’s Court Garage, 25 Calvert St, Annapolis, MD 21401.

The Goldstein Treasury Building is located at 80 Calvert St, Annapolis, MD 21401. The public must have a government-issued ID to enter and view the exhibition.

This new exhibit, Beautiful Families encouraged artists to explore in depth the beauty in various types of families and all the amazing things that come with it. BWI Exhibit 35: “Bright Skies”

This new exhibit, Bright Skies, encourages artists to explore a vast canvas of ever-changing colors, textures, and patterns. A place filled with clouds one day or cloudless the next; where both birds and airplanes take flight; where the sun rises and sets. Wherever that inspiration is found, artists should make the sky the main focus of their artwork.

Artists Without Limits Art Exhibit 2022

The Anne Arundel County Commission on Disability Issues and Arts Council of Anne Arundel County are proud to present the Artists without Limits 2022 Art Exhibit featuring Anne Arundel County Artists with disabilities.

The exhibit will run from August 1st through September 9th. Exhibit locations will be the Arundel Center 44 Calvert Street Annapolis, MD 21401 from August 1 through August 19th and the Chesapeake Arts Center 194 Hammonds Lane Brooklyn Park, MD 21225 from August 22 through September 9. This exhibit is free and open to the public.

What’s Up? Media Exhibit 15: “Into the Garden”

Gardens are filled with numerous textures and colors. From the flowers to the vegetables, all the way to the critters that have made a home on a leaf or in the soil. There is so much inspiration to find, explore, and create. This new exhibit gives artists an opportunity to bring a garden or elements of a garden to life through their art.

What’s Up? Media’s new exhibit displays the beautiful two-dimensional work of local Anne Arundel County artists. Exhibits rotate every four months, each with a new theme. This exhibit is located at 201 Defense Highway in Annapolis. Hours are Monday – Friday, 8 AM to 6 PM and will be on display April 14, 2022 – August 15, 2022
