• About the Artist:

  Arturo’s students are inspired to create, discover, communicate, and connect with different people and perspectives through art. Collaborative workshops and residencies explore universal themes like home, community, and transformation through a variety of 2-D and 3-D techniques and artworks. With more than two decades of teaching experience, Arturo expertly custom-tailors programs to connect art with curricular areas like math, science, engineering, and social studies.

    Description:

  • One-Day Residency

    Description:
    

    One-day residency will result in a collaborative mural or other artwork and can include up to 6 workshops in one day (or 3 2-hour workshops, etc.) and will serve a smaller number of students (3 classroom-sized groups in 3 2-hour workshops, or one day with a middle/high school art class, for example). Materials included.

  • Mixed Medium Virtual Art Workshop or Residency

    Description:
    

    In this virtual workshop, students will be guided by artist Arturo Ho in an hour-long lesson in painting. Participants will learn the how-tos of techniques and medium mixing to come up with the desired finish of their unique work of art. Arturo demonstrates the process step by step on-screen throughout the session and answers questions along the way. Participants should provide materials from their home, school, or other setting and workshops may be adapted to suit a range of materials available (a good starter kit might include a watercolor set, pencil, marker set, Sharpie, black india ink, small fine brush, and medium sized brush). Workshops may be scheduled alone or in series.
