This acclaimed collection—fresh from the 2026 Annapolis Film Festival—celebrates the
power, humor, and humanity of real-life storytelling. From laugh-out-loud moments to
deeply moving reflections, these short documentaries capture the unexpected, the
inspiring, and the unforgettable.
The program includes:
● BEING BUBLÉ (Dir. Dan Perlman)
A wildly entertaining story of a man hilariously out of his depth, hired to
impersonate Michael Bublé at a lavish party—with no resemblance and no
singing ability.
● DOC ALBANY (Dir. Ben Proudfoot)
A compelling portrait of a young OB/GYN weighing her future while serving a
rural Georgia community in urgent need of care.
● LOVE BIRDS (Dirs. Elliott Kennerson & Angel Morris)
A fascinating look at a groundbreaking scientific discovery by a married couple
studying seagulls in the 1970s.
● STALIN BOYS (Dirs. Bianca Giaever & Ora Dekornfeld)
A surprising and thought-provoking story of middle school boys in Texas
staging a play about an unlikely historical figure.
● THE BADDEST SPEECHWRITER OF ALL (Dirs. Ben Proudfoot & Stephen Curry)
A powerful and intimate reflection from Martin Luther King Jr.’s longtime lawyer
and speechwriter—winner of both the Jury and Audience Awards at the 2026
Annapolis Film Festival.

“This program truly captures the magic of documentary storytelling,” said festival
organizers. “It’s funny, moving, surprising—and a reminder that truth is often more
extraordinary than fiction.”
Don’t miss this opportunity to experience one of the most talked-about programs from
this year’s festival—back by popular demand for one night only.
Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at annapolisfilmfestival.com. For group sales and
