Reception “Tender is the Mend “
February 14 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

We begin 2026 with “Tender is the Mend”, an exhibition rooted in repair, transformation, and quiet resilience. Through collage and assemblage, broken and disparate elements are gently brought together, forming new narratives and new forms.
Jo Fleming’s abstract collages draw from the textures and rhythms of the natural world. Layered materials come together to create meditative compositions that feel both grounded and ethereal. While serene at first glance, closer viewing reveals intricate color relationships and tactile detail.
Isabelle Robinson’s three-dimensional wall sculptures extend this dialogue. Using found objects once damaged or discarded, she reassembles them into cohesive structures, works that echo the human experience of change, adaptation, and renewal. The art of bringing the broken together, repairing and mending does not only heal but also creates new entities, universes living on their own terms. The Opening Reception will also feature original compositions and talk by composer Mieszko John Gorski, who creates dynamic, layered works using innovative technology.
