SUMMARY:Elements in Time Exhibition and Reception
DESCRIPTION:Jo Fleming Contemporary Art is delighted to present “Elements in Time\,” a new exhibition of mixed-media abstract paintings by Maryland-based artist Sally Rhudy. \nDrawing inspiration from ancient civilizations\, lost knowledge and the enduring language of symbols\, Rhudy’s richly layered works explore the relationship between humanity\, time and the natural elements. Ancient glyphs\, marks and fragments emerge and disappear beneath successive layers\, creating paintings that feel at once archaeological yet are bold\, colorful and contemporary. \nAlso on show will be a selection Rachel Waldron works that combine family photographs\, drawing\, painting and printmaking to explore the threads that connect generations. \nExhibition Dates: September 2-30\, 2026 \nArtist Reception: September 12\, 5:30–7:30 (talk at 6pm)

DESCRIPTION:Jo Fleming Contemporary Art presents “Thermal Lift\,” an exhibition of paintings by local artist Patrice Drago throughout July. \nThe exhibition is a series of mixed-media paintings that capture the sensory and emotional experience of summer through layered imagery\, luminous color and bold\, energetic brushstrokes. Having spent her life exploring and creating all forms of 2D art\, she continues to explore new methods and techniques to express the present moment providing a respite against the heavily structured schedule of daily life. \n“Thermal Lift” is open through July 30. Meet Drago at an artist reception and talk from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday.
