DESCRIPTION:Naptown Philharmonic Orchestra’s season finale will feature renowned pianist\, Thomas Pandolfi\, playing Gershwin’s Piano Concerto in F\, along with the inaugural performance of the NPO Chorus\, directed by Jeanne Kelley.  The combined orchestra and chorus will showcase American Music and celebrate America’s 250th birthday.  Selections include “Stomp Your Foot” (Copland)\, “Porgy and Bess” (Gershwin)\, “America the Beautiful” (Bates/Ward) and more!  Tickets are $25 and students are free!

SUMMARY:The Magic of Cinema
DESCRIPTION:Did you know that classical music is the backbone of many a hit movie? This will come to life at our concert with classical music from movies including 2001: A Space Odyssey\, Up!\, Godfather III\, and more! Soprano Natalie Conte and mezzo-soprano Jennifer Blades\, will interpret the music that helps make the movies magical. \nWe will also feature the talent of the winners of our 2026 Young Artists Concerto Competition: clarinetist Juniper Brinegar of Montgomery Blair High School; cellist Christopher Chung of Howard County; and violinist Yuto Shimomura of Walter Johnson High School. Each will perform as a soloist with the Naptown Philharmonic. Close your eyes and you’ll think the solos are performance by mature musicians! You will be amazed by the talent of these young artists!
