Students will learn basic techniques of centering clay\, throwing simple forms and transforming these into more developed forms\, such as vases\, bowls and mugs. Glazing and decorating techniques are also introduced. Class is suited for beginner students and those with a little experience. Bring an old towel\, a sketch book and lots of ideas.\nSupplies: Your first block of clay is included in the materials fee\, along with kiln firings and glazing. Beginner Wheel 2 is a course designed for students who have taken a beginner-level wheel-throwing class but are not ready for an intermediate level class. In Beginner 2\, we continue to focus on throwing fundamentals\, while also bringing in new techniques such as making handles\, throwing larger and creating more complex forms. We will continue to explore glaze and surface decorations. Students should bring a towel\, wear clothes that can get a little dirt on them\, and tie long hair back.
