Description
CALL SUMMARY:
Greater Baybrook Alliance seeks qualified artists or artist teams to enhance several outdoor places with
public art in Brooklyn, Curtis Bay and Brooklyn Park (Maryland). The goal of the project is to further
develop community identity and pride, creating visible improvements to community gateways,
commercial corridors and nodes, and open spaces. Both temporary and permanent work will be
considered, however, the works should have a visual or experiential component that last a minimum of
five years. Locations for work include medians and buildings on or near South Hanover Street,
Pennington Ave, and Ritchie Highway, as well as open spaces or significant community places such as
schools, parks, and cultural centers. The final locations will be determined through the conceptual
development process. Selection for conceptual development does not automatically secure funding for a
public art work.
