Position Overview:
The Gallery Coordinator/Consultant is a contract employee and a key member of CAC’s artistic
team, responsible for supporting regional artists and art enthusiasts in our community. In
consultation with the Artistic Director, the Gallery Coordinator/Consultant is responsible for
setting vision and strategy for exhibitions. The Gallery Coordinator/Consultant curates exhibits
and displays in two exhibit galleries, including a new gallery space scheduled to open in
Spring/Summer 2022, as well as exhibit spaces within our building/facility and off-site pop-up
exhibits with our community partners. The Gallery Coordinator/Consultant will create a new
exhibit call process for our new gallery spaces, schedule the other professional gallery spaces,
and fill additional hanging spaces in our facility with exhibits and displays by artists, arts groups,
community organizations or other entities to build audiences and engage artists to interact with
CAC. The Gallery Coordinator will also research and plan related public programming to
complement exhibits in consultation with the Artistic Director and Education Director. These
public programs could include gallery talks, tours, family programs, pop up workshops or other
related programs.
