FY2022 Community Arts Grants (CAG)

The Arts Council of Anne Arundel County is a private, non-profit organization with the mission to encourage and invest in the visual arts, performing arts, and historic preservation for the people of Anne Arundel County. The Arts Council’s vision is to serve as the premier resource for the cultural arts community in the County, providing leadership in advocacy, funding, programming, promotion, and information sharing in order to help create and sustain a vibrant cultural community that enriches the quality of life for every county resident.

The Community Arts Grant (CAG) program provides general operating fund awards to support local nonprofit cultural and arts organizations, in order to:

• Foster excellence, diversity and vitality in arts offerings for all Anne Arundel County residents, regardless of age, geographic location, race, ethnicity, country of origin, or other characteristic;
• Broaden opportunities for county audiences, artists, and arts organizations;
• Increase the availability of arts activities and programs for all county residents; and
• Promote countywide awareness of arts resources and opportunities.

Funding for these grants is provided by the Maryland State Arts Council, from a portion of the tax receipts generated through the State and City of Annapolis hotel taxes, and through private donations. Funding limitations do not generally allow for full funding of all approved applications.

Application Deadline: April 30, 2021 at midnight. Applications must be completed online through the ACAAC GO Grants portal.
