There is something about permanently etching a story into your flesh that draws the heart and inspires the mind. Tattoos tell a tale of who we were, who we are, and sometimes, where we are going. Tattoos have served important roles in cultures around the world for thousands of years and they continue to evolve – with different meanings in our modern age and among people of different ages and backgrounds. Join us for an exhibition of work by an array of local tattoo artists in conjunction with National Tattoo Day (July 17), which celebrates the history of skin art and its ever-evolving place in society. On Saturday, July 15, several local shops will donate their tattoo fees done that day to CAC as a fundraiser to support our arts and education programs. If you have always wanted to get a tattoo, this is your chance to get ink’d and support CAC.
