Jack Turner and Georgia Rounds
Presented by The Galleries of Quiet Waters Park
February 14, 2024 - March 24, 2024
Opening on February 14 and through March 24, 2024, are two diverse exhibits. Jack Turner will exhibit wildlife photography while Georgia Rounds will show paintings and ceramics.
“Indigenous” by Jack Wildlife (aka Jack Turner) highlights the fascinating local wildlife that inhabits Quiet Waters Park and the Chesapeake Bay. Animals large and small, feathered and fluffy, lead complex lives right in our communities. Jack captures the big and tiny moments that can go unnoticed in our daily lives, bringing environmental stewardship to the forefront of the conversation. Jack is an Environmental Scientist and lives in Annapolis.
Two and three-dimensional artworks by Georgia will be on display in the Garden Gallery. Within her exhibit titled “Dreams and Visions,” she explores the intersection of light and color in her abstract and realistic oil and acrylic paintings. However, with ceramics, she prefers the muted tonal quality seen in her gas-fired pieces.
On February 18, the opening reception will be held in the Galleries. The Visitor Center which houses the Galleries is open from 9 AM – 4 PM on Weekdays and 10 AM – 4 PM on Weekends. Entrance to the park is $6 per vehicle; the fee is waived for the reception only.
