FRIDAY MORNINGS, 9:30AM -12:00PM September 8 -October 13, 2023.
During this 6-week pottery class, Beginner and Intermediate students will learn the basics of making hand-built pottery starting with slabs and slump molds. Students will make three to four items depending upon individual progress. Techniques will be taught on three projects: face vases, fish dishes, and finally a lidded box. Pottery terminology and glazing techniques will also be discussed. Class fee includes 25 pounds of clay, glaze, and firings. Students are welcome to use studio tools, which may be limited. You are welcome to bring your own tools. Also, personal took kits are available to purchase for $18 in the studio.
Additional clay and firing can be purchased for a fee.
Please bring an old towel to the first class!
