Mr. Paca’s Garden Storytime is a fun hour full of reading and activities in the William Paca Garden, a secret treasure in the Historic District of Annapolis. Each program is designed for little ones, 3-7 years, with a book reading, song, and craft/art project, plus time to explore the Paca Garden following the story hour.
This Week’s Book: Where Are You From? by Yamile Saied Méndez
Join us as we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. When a young girl is asked where she’s really from, she asks her abuelo. However, he doesn’t give her the answer she expects. He tells her that she comes from the pampas, the gaucho, mountains, blue oceans, hurricanes, and dark storms. Where Are You From? gives us the opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the many backgrounds, roots, and histories of those who live in the United States.
