Dates: May 21, 2023 - May 21, 2023 at 3:00 pm to 5:00 pmMake plans now because renowned U.S. Naval Academy Organist Monte Maxwell is taking over the organ bench at St. Martin’s on Sunday, May 21 at 3 p.m. as part of the ICONS in Transformation art exhibit. This concert is free and open to the community.
Monte is the Chapel Organist and Director of Chapel Music and Midshipmen Symphony Orchestra at the U.S. Naval Academy. He has a bachelor’s degree in music from Texas Christian University, an artist diploma from the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, and a master’s degree in music from the Juilliard School of Music in New York City. Monte was also the associate organist at the John Wanamaker store, playing the famed six-manual organ, the largest playing organ in the world.
While at St. Martin’s, be sure to explore the free contemporary art exhibit ICONS in Transformation; all artist’s proceeds benefit Ukrainian refugees.
