About

Visit the Museum of Historic Annapolis on the second Sunday of every month for Hands-On History Days. Drop in any time between 11 am and 3 pm for special family activities – a new theme each month means you and your family will want to visit again and again! Activities are included with Museum admission.

In September, the year is 1773 and news is swirling with talk of Revolution!

  • Meet Anne Catharine Green, colonial printer to the colonies and publisher of the Maryland Gazette. Learn about the life of a successful businesswoman and the Green family’s contributions to Annapolis in the years before the American Revolutionary War.
  • See an original bound copy of the Maryland Gazette from 1750 in our Curator’s Corner!
  • Create your own special version of colonial paper currency and write your own issue of the Maryland Gazette.
  • Explore the Museum and discover the many stories of our historic city shared throughout Annapolis: An American Story.
  • Take a break in our Anne Arundel County Public Library Book Nook and read stories about newspapers and printing!
