Come celebrate the vibrant hues of autumn while photographing among the plants, trees and colonial-era buildings of Historic London Town & Gardens in Edgewater on Saturday, November 1st. All levels of photography experience welcome!

Local photographer Peter West will conduct the small-group, three-hour photo workshop which will concentrate on techniques for richer, more vibrant images. We’ll explore light direction, color harmony, white-balance, exposing reds/yellows, and simple compositions.

Choose to concentrate on landscape or macro specialties while roaming the historic site at the historical peak of fall foliage in Anne Arundel County. A half-hour classroom session will precede hands-on instruction and plenty of practice “in-the-field.”

Participants at all levels of photography are welcome and should bring:

• Their own camera (DSLR/mirrorless/or cellphone)
• Any lens (a mid-range zoom or 50mm works well)
• A fully charged battery
• Memory card
• Comfortable shoes, water, and weather-appropriate clothing
• Optional equipment would include: a polarizing filter and a tripod and cable release
