Taught by local artist Joel Pasquarelli, this 3 day workshop will delve into the technical skills and techniques used in Trompe L’oeil (French for “Fool the Eye”) painting. We will cover the understanding of form and light found in a still life, creating a singular painting over the course of the workshop using traditional techniques such as the Imprematura or underpainting, successive color passes, and glazing to create complex shadows and a sense of space. Note: Supply list is below, you will have to purchase your own supplies before the first class.
