Featured AAC Artist Series: Karen Degraffenreid
The Arts Council Virtual Art Gallery Series Featuring AAC Artist: Karen Degraffenreid
Karen is a retired educator living in Annapolis. Her interest in art began after receiving the gift of an art class. Her love of color inspired her to look around at nature and take as many pictures as she could while vacationing both in the U.S. and abroad.
Karen’s work is fairly eclectic, ranging from botanicals to semi-abstract to photo-realism. She takes a photo and turns it into a sketch, creating art how she “sees” it.
Local organizations she participates in include, The Annapolis Watercolor Club, The Annapolis Arts Alliance, The Baltimore Watercolor Club, and The Arts Council of Anne Arundel County.
