SUMMARY:Classic Theatre of Maryland presents "HAMLET"
DESCRIPTION:Experience the play that has captivated audiences for over four centuries as Classic Theatre of Maryland opens its season with Shakespeare’s greatest masterpiece. Set within the intrigue of the royal court of Denmark\, Hamlet follows a young prince haunted by his father’s ghost and driven to uncover the truth behind a shocking betrayal. As loyalty gives way to deception and revenge blurs the line between justice and obsession\, Hamlet must confront impossible choices that will determine the fate of a kingdom. \nFilled with unforgettable characters\, breathtaking drama\, razor-sharp wit\, and some of the most celebrated language ever written\, Hamlet is a thrilling theatrical event that explores ambition\, morality\, family\, and the enduring question of what it means to be human. Timeless\, profoundly relevant\, and universally resonant\, this extraordinary masterpiece continues to captivate each new generation\, proving that Shakespeare’s greatest tragedy speaks as powerfully today as it did over 400 years ago.

SUMMARY:An Evening with Peppino D'Agostino (A Mansion Concert for Friends)
DESCRIPTION:On Friday\, October 30\, 2026\, world-renowned acoustic guitarist Peppino D’Agostino will perform in the multipurpose room of the Annapolis Friends Meetinghouse (AFM – Annapolis\, MD) – 6:00 PM Doors / 7:00 PM Showtime. \nWe would  like to invite all of our friends to this very special and intimate house concert. This will be our very first “Mansion Concert” at the AFM\, and we are hoping for a nice turnout. After 11 years of successful house concerts in Harrisburg\, PA\, we are exploring concert opportunities with likeminded organizations outside of our area. We are pleased to bring this concert to Annapolis and very excited about this wonderful venue. In this age of compressed\, streamed\, and diminished recorded music\, these private gatherings provide a musical experience unavailable in most large or small venues. \nThis performance will be an intimate experience for guitarists and nonguitarists alike. As such\, seating is currently limited to the first 85 persons who sign up. To support ourt artist\, we have established a recommended donation of $35.00 per person and these donations will be directed 100% to Peppino. Seating will be non-assigned\, general admisssion in the most intimate setting possible – but there won’t be a bad seat in the room. \nWell\, you’ve read this far\, please read more about Peppino and consider signing up for this unique concert. \nThank you. \n/Andrew Falcon & Tim Alexander/ \n**************************************** \nABOUT PEPPINO D’AGOSTINO \nA native of Italy\, D’Agostino has made his considerable international mark as a musical artist on the guitar since he arrived in America 40 years ago. In 2017 Guitar Player listed him as one of the 50 transcendent guitar superheroes of all time. The CD “Every Step of The Way” was awarded by Acoustic Guitar’s People’s Choice Awards with a Bronze medal for Best Acoustic Album of All Time. His signature Seagull acoustic guitar has been voted among the ten best signature guitars by Guitar Player magazine. \nPeppino gives guitar workshops\, master classes\, and seminars worldwide. Top leading publishers such as Truefire\, Alfred Publishing\, Hal Leonard\, and Acoustic Guitar Magazine Books have published his compositions and instructional methods. \nTo date\, Peppino has recorded 19 CDs\, performed in over thirty-five countries at international festivals and concert halls. He has shared the stage with such greats as Larry Carlton\, Eric Johnson\, Tommy Emmanuel\, Leo Kottke\, Martin Taylor\, Roland Dyens\, David Tanenbaum\, and many more. D’Agostino’s latest solo CD ‘Connexion’ was released by A-Train Entertainment. \nOther Music Samples.  A wonderful sample of Peppino’s audience interaction can be seen/heard when Peppino engages his audience in what I call a “musical walk around the world.”  These walks are often the most personal and memorable elements of his shows. \nOther great performance samples are provided below: \nLive at Arden Gardens \nJump Rope (Solo guitar – Live at McCabes- LA \nAncora Un Istante (Original song in Italian-guitar and voice) \nKelsey’s Dance (with an Irish flavor) \nCostarica   (South American rhythms) \nThe Godfather Waltz- The Godfather Theme (with a funny introduction) \nA Musical Taste of Italy —  Peppino is offering a special experience on this tour that we are calling A “Musical Taste of Italy – Songs and Instrumentals.”  Peppino often drops a few of these tunes into his regular shows but he is developing a special set list (for those who ask) that will emphasize his Italian heritage and in doing so\, he will be singing a bit more in these shows. \nIf you want to listen only to his vocals/songs\, select videos numbered: 1\, 2\, 4\, 6\, 8\, 9\, and 14.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aCIq1rAkYtY&list=OLAK5uy_nw9n7c0JaKgRN9Ybt-x-FNHzkV676B4Wo&index=2  Ancora un Istante · Peppino D’Agostino Made In Italy ℗ 2008 Mesa/Blue Moon Recordings \nWhat are others sayings about Peppino’s Music? \n“Peppino writes wonderful guitar pieces. He’s one of my favorite composers for this cranky instrument. Plus\, he’s a tone player. I love his sound… gets the resin and the wood.”–Leo Kottke \n“…D’Agostino plays steel-string guitar with virtuosity and complexity…Influences are as far-flung as the flamenco work of Paco de Lucia and the pop sensibility of the Beatles\, evident in the songs he’s written\, which brim with memorable melodies.”–Chicago Tribune \n“Peppino D’Agostino is a guitarist’s guitarist known as much for his technical skills as for his writing\, (he is) one of the most capable composers among fingerstyle guitarists.”–Acoustic Guitar Magazine Awards \n“BEST ACOUSTIC GUITARIST” by the readers of Guitar Player Magazine–GUITAR PLAYER MAGAZINE READER’S CHOICE AWARDS
