DESCRIPTION:Holes\nby Louis Sachar \n  \nStanley Yelnats is under a curse. A curse that began with his no-good-dirty-rotten-pig-stealing-great-great-grandfather and has since followed generations of Yelnats. Now Stanley has been unjustly sent to a boys’ detention center\, Camp Green Lake\, where the warden makes the boys “build character” by spending all day\, every day\, digging holes: five feet wide and five feet deep. It doesn’t take long for Stanley to realize there’s more than character improvement going on at Camp Green Lake. The boys are digging holes because the warden is looking for something. DESCRIPTION:As 1775 ended\, the British Army in North America faced setbacks at Lexington\, Concord\, Bunker Hill\, and Canada.  Confined to Boston\, the Crown worked on plans to try to reestablish Royal authority across the American colonies.   \nIn this in-person lecture at the Museum of Historic Annapolis\, James McGaughey examines proposed strategies\, leadership challenges\, and clashes with the newly formed Continental Army that laid the groundwork for the dramatic campaigns and events of 1776.  \nAdvance registration required; admission fee includes entry to the Museum.

Join photographer Kaitlyn McQuaid for “First Exposure\,” a 4-week digital photography workshop covering the foundations of photography. This workshop will run for 2 hours each week\, and we’ll cover one element of photography in-depth\, including Aperture\, ISO\, Shutter Speed\, Lighting\, and Composition. We’ll practice with in-class\, hands-on exercises\, and tips for capturing moments on your own outside of class. \nNotes \n\n\nYou will receive an email 1 week before class starts with additional information. \n\n\n\nClass Requirements\n\n\n\n\nA digital DSLR camera is strongly recommended but if you only have a sophisticated point and shoot\, we are happy to have you as well. Just be mindful that some of the point and shoots do not always let you adjust as many settings.
