SUMMARY:'Holes' by Louis Sachar at Children's Theatre of Annapolis
DESCRIPTION:Holes\nby Louis Sachar \n  \nStanley Yelnats is under a curse. A curse that began with his no-good-dirty-rotten-pig-stealing-great-great-grandfather and has since followed generations of Yelnats. It doesn’t take long for Stanley to realize there’s more than character improvement going on at Camp Green Lake. The boys are digging holes because the warden is looking for something. Stanley tries to dig up the truth in this inventive and darkly humorous tale of crime and punishment–and redemption. \n  \nRun Time: Approximately 2 hours with a 15 minute intermission \nPerformance: February 6-22\, 2026 \n\nFridays @ 7:00 p.m.\nSaturdays @ 11:00 a.m.* & 4:00 p.m.\nSundays @ 2:00 p.m.\n\n* No 11:00 a.m. performance on Saturday\, February 7\, 2026. \n\n  \n** SPECIAL EVENTS **\n\nRelaxed Performance: 11:00 a.m.; Saturday\, February 14\, 2026\nASL Interpreted Performance: 4:00 p.m.; Saturday\, February 14\, 2026\n\nFor details regarding these special events\, please click here to visit our Accessibility web page. \n  \nTICKETS: $18 (Youth ages 0-12\, Seniors ages 60+\, Active Military)  /  $20 (ages 13-59) \nCLICK HERE TO BUY TICKETS

SUMMARY:DoArt Collage Coasters and Boxes
DESCRIPTION:Come to our next Muddy Creek Artists Guild DoART event led by artist Martha Mihaly Black and make a collage on either a small box or set of coasters. \nThe workshop is Sunday February 1\, 2026 from 1-330pm at the Davidsonville Family Recreation Center\, 3879 Queen Anne Bridge Rd.\, Davidsonville (in the white building on the right as you enter). Original date was January 25\, but we had to postpone due to weather. \nStudents will “harvest” one or more small collages from a larger collage to create an artistic top for the box or coasters. Then they will use acrylic paint to add color to their piece\, along with a coat of finish medium.\nNo prior art experience is necessary. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced maker\, you’re sure to tap into your creative energy with this activity. Come alone or sign up with a friend (or two!) for an art-full afternoon with Martha. \nCost is $35 per person. All supplies needed for the workshop are provided in the cost of your registration. Extra supplies may be purchased to take home. Register using the link provided on the Muddy Creek Artist Guild Website.

SUMMARY:Shrek The Musical KIDS at CTA (Wednesdays)
DESCRIPTION:MUSICAL THEATRE PRODUCTION WORKSHOPS\nBeauty is in the eye of the ogre in DreamWorks Theatricals Shrek The Musical KIDS\, based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film and fantastic Broadway musical. It’s a “big bright beautiful world” as everyone’s favorite ogre\, Shrek\, leads a cast of fairytale misfits on an adventure to rescue a princess and find true acceptance. Part romance and part twisted fairy tale\, Shrek KIDS is an irreverently fun show with a powerful message for the whole family.Once upon a time\, in a faraway swamp\, there lived an ogre named Shrek. One day\, Shrek finds his swamp invaded by banished fairytale misfits who have been cast off by Lord Farquaad\, a tiny terror with big ambitions. When Shrek sets off with a wisecracking donkey to confront Farquaad\, he’s handed a task — if he rescues feisty princess Fiona\, his swamp will be righted. Shrek tries to win Fiona’s love and vanquish Lord Farquaad\, but a fairytale wouldn’t be complete without a few twists and turns along the way.* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *\nThrough theatre production workshops students gain experience and knowledge in acting techniques\, improvisation\, characterization\, movement\, props\, scenery\, and much more.
