SUMMARY:'Holes' by Louis Sachar at Children's Theatre of Annapolis
DESCRIPTION:Holes\nby Louis Sachar \n  \nStanley Yelnats is under a curse. A curse that began with his no-good-dirty-rotten-pig-stealing-great-great-grandfather and has since followed generations of Yelnats. Now Stanley has been unjustly sent to a boys’ detention center\, Camp Green Lake\, where the warden makes the boys “build character” by spending all day\, every day\, digging holes: five feet wide and five feet deep. It doesn’t take long for Stanley to realize there’s more than character improvement going on at Camp Green Lake. The boys are digging holes because the warden is looking for something. Stanley tries to dig up the truth in this inventive and darkly humorous tale of crime and punishment–and redemption. \n  \nRun Time: Approximately 2 hours with a 15 minute intermission \nPerformance: February 6-22\, 2026 \n\nFridays @ 7:00 p.m.\nSaturdays @ 11:00 a.m.* & 4:00 p.m.\nSundays @ 2:00 p.m.\n\n* No 11:00 a.m. performance on Saturday\, February 7\, 2026. \n\n  \n** SPECIAL EVENTS **\n\nRelaxed Performance: 11:00 a.m.; Saturday\, February 14\, 2026\nASL Interpreted Performance: 4:00 p.m.; Saturday\, February 14\, 2026\n\nFor details regarding these special events\, please click here to visit our Accessibility web page. \n  \nTICKETS: $18 (Youth ages 0-12\, Seniors ages 60+\, Active Military)  /  $20 (ages 13-59) \nCLICK HERE TO BUY TICKETS

SUMMARY:"Youngblood" Presented by the Annapolis Film Society
DESCRIPTION:Screening YOUNGBLOOD at the Annapolis Film Society\, Monday\, Feb 16th\, 7 PM in the Bowen Theater. Doors open at 6:30 PM. Tickets $20.\n\nSYNOPSIS\n\nDean Youngblood (Ashton James) was raised by his father\, Blane (Blair Underwood)\, on a diet of toughness and hockey. When Dean is invited to join the Hamilton Mustangs\, he travels to Canada from Detroit\, where his skill commands respect and his arrogance earns him fast enemies. Coach Chadwick (Shawn Doyle)\, resentful of being saddled with such a toxic player\, keeps Dean benched game after game. Dean’s frustration builds\, culminating in a violent outburst involving rival goon Carl Racki (Donald MacLean Jr.) that costs the Mustangs a significant win. As Team Captain Sutton (Henri Richar-Picard) takes him under his wing\, Dean begins to buck Blane’s teachings\, and his growing maturity spurs a relationship with Jessie — Coach Chadwick’s daughter (Alexandra McDonald) — who gives Dean a run for his money on and off the ice. His newfound resolve draws the ire of Racki\, who provokes Dean during a game by attacking and seriously injuring Sutton. As the final game of the Eastern Conference Finals approaches\, so does his showdown with Racki and Dean’s choice as to what kind of man he wants to be.\n\n\nTRAILER\nhttps://youtu.be/PVdMWqVQrV4?si=Acvbnzbxui96R0Fo\n\nNEWS\nhttps://www.eyeonannapolis.net/2026/02/special-screening-of-youngblood-presented-by-the-annapolis-film-society/
