This is the fourth level of the Royal Academy of Dance Vocational classwork. The Vocational levels require a higher standard of technical ability\, and pointework for girls is examined. Students are required to take a minimum of three classes a week to remain in this level; both Discovering Repertoire and Advanced 1 level syllabus is taught. A fourth class is required in order to examine the Advanced 1 syllabus. \nStudents may participate in our annual mini-Nutcracker in December.\nContinuing through the Winter/Spring session (Jan- May) provides two additional opportunities:\nStudents could be invited to participate in our Royal Academy of Dance Exams mid-spring\, at the discretion of staff.\nAll students are invited to perform in our Annual Spring Recital in May. DESCRIPTION:Award-winning Korean American concert pianist and organist Junghoon Park will present a free piano recital at Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church in Severna Park on Sunday\, September 20\, at 2:00 PM. \nPark serves as Organist and Pianist at Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church under Pastor JC Austin and Music Director David Merrill. He is a recipient of Howard County’s Creative Arts Grant and has been selected to the Maryland State Arts Council Performing Artist Touring Roster. He has recently appeared in recital at Market Square Presbyterian Church in Harrisburg\, Pennsylvania. \nThe recital will celebrate the rich tradition of American music with an all-American program featuring works by Vladimir Horowitz\, Art Tatum\, Amy Beach\, Samuel Barber\, George Gershwin\, and Leonard Bernstein\, including Gershwin’s iconic Rhapsody in Blue and selections from Bernstein’s West Side Story. \nAdmission is free\, and all members of the community are warmly invited to attend this afternoon of inspiring American piano music.

This 9 week class is designed for the intermediate to advanced student\, who would like to explore a broad variety of hand building techniques. To enhance the beauty of the hand built piece\, different texturing techniques will be introduced. Decorative slips and glazing applications will also be explored.
