Along with classical ballet\, RAD introduces two important additional styles at this level: Character work\, which helps develop timing and rhythm; and Free Movement\, which helps to develop poise\, musicality\, and sensitivity to music. DESCRIPTION:AGES 14-Adult welcome to join in!! \nThis beginner drawing class will be offered virtually by Anita Hagan. \nNOTE: This is a level 2; please take Anita’s level 1 class before registering for this one. \nThings to know:  \n-1 hour weekly lesson given by Anita Hagan with time for weekly Q&A and critiques at the beginning of each class. \n-We will be using the Zoom platform so you just need to download the app on your computer or phone to join the class (no need to pay for a membership) \n-You must order your materials before the first class \n________ \nClass Description: Anyone can learn to draw! In this 4-evening beginner teen/adult class\, you will learn the basics – from materials you need to get started\, to learning how to loosen up with simple shapes and gestures\, and finally to completing your first finished drawing of still life. This class is designed to be relaxing\, fun\, and give you everything you need to get started on a lifetime of sketching. \nStudents must provide their own supplies: shop local at Art Things or buy online at Amazon or Blick.com \n•Newsprint drawing pad (12×18) 50 sheets \n•Strathmore brand 400 series sketch pad  (or similar)  (12×18) 24 sheets \n•White Pearl Eraser \n•Drawing Pencils (full set with 6B\, 5B\, 4B\, 3B\, 2B\, B\, HB\, F\, H\, 2H\, 4H\, and 6H). DESCRIPTION:Teens and Adults Welcome! \nLive figure drawing meets killer playlist. A unique life drawing experience featuring models ranging from burlesque performers to professional life models\, in both costume and nude. \nBYO supplies. We do have drawing boards\, easels\, and basic drawing supplies available if you need them. Feel free to bring a snack or a drink to enjoy during the session. \nSketch Nights always start with some short warmups\, then 5-10 minute sessions\, and end with 20-minute drawing sessions as the model moves through a variety of poses. \nNew Monthly Schedule for 2026: \n\n\n\nSecond Thursdays – Themed costume sessions with creative concepts (Jan-December)\nFourth Thursdays – Dedicated nude figure drawing (January\, March\, May\, September)\n\n\n\n  \n2026 Themes to Inspire You: \nFrom “Winter Luxe” fur coats and vintage ski wear in January to “Steampunk” adventures in November\, we’ve curated twelve unique themes\, including Valentine’s Romance\, Navy Nautical\, Afrofuturism\, Gothic Halloween\, and Holiday Elegance.
