SUMMARY:ABSA Classical Ballet 1: Ages 7-8
DESCRIPTION:Wednesdays\, 9/16/26-12/16/26\, 4:45-5:45pm\, Room 101\, Price: $228.74 (TFA26ABS11) \nAges 7-8. If a student is new to our program\, please contact us prior to registration to discuss placement. Students are required to take two Classical Ballet 1 sessions per week. A natural progression from the beginning primary levels with strong emphasis on correct body placement\, technique\, and musicality. Along with classical ballet\, RAD introduces two important additional styles at this level: Character work\, which helps develop timing and rhythm; and Free Movement\, which helps to develop poise\, musicality\, and sensitivity to music. Previous ballet training not required. \nContinuing through the Winter/Spring session (Jan- May) provides two additional opportunities:\nStudents could be invited to participate in our Royal Academy of Dance Class Awards mid-spring\, at the discretion of staff.\nAll students are invited to perform in our Annual Spring Recital in May. Class Awards and Recital participation will require additional fees. Academy Ballet does not guarantee make-up classes for weather-related closures. \nDress Code: Girls: Royal Academy of Dance Iris leotard in Rose\, pink or skin tone-matched tights\, leather full sole ballet shoes and canvas low heel character shoes. Students will be fitted for character skirts and shoes during the first week of classes which will be rented or purchased depending on availability. Boys: White t-shirt\, navy or black shorts\, white socks\, white full sole ballet shoes\, and black lace up character shoes. Two to three years of ballet training necessary. \nStudents may participate in our annual mini-Nutcracker in December.\nContinuing through the Winter/Spring session (Jan- May) provides two additional opportunities:\nStudents could be invited to participate in our Royal Academy of Dance Exams mid-spring\, at the discretion of staff.\nAll students are invited to perform in our Annual Spring Recital in May.
