DESCRIPTION:Intermediate Wheel\nDates: Nov 24\, Dec 1\, Dec 8\, Dec 22\, Dec 29\, Jan 5 2026-7 \nTime: 6:00-8:00pm \nInstructor: Becky Swerida \nIn this class\, students will expand their wheel throwing skills\, practicing\, building confidence and learning to be more intentional as they create their clay pieces. Through discussion\, demonstration and hands-on experience\, we will explore throwing a wider range of forms and incorporating new design elements. The class will cover attachments such as handles and sprig details\, surface carving and expanded glaze techniques. Design concepts such as the rule of thirds and form vs function balance will be introduced. Foundational wheel throwing experience is required for this course. \n$300 for non members \n$260 for Arts Lab members \n$30.00 materials fee is included in the cost of the class \nMinimum of 4 participants required to run the class\, Ages 16+.

Recycled glass\, pattern bar pieces and stringer will be used to create 3 five-inch by five-inch ornaments. This class is for a parent and child and is suitable for all skill levels. The parent and child will create a project each. The price of the class includes tuition and materials for one person only. Parent and child must each register separately for the class.
