SUMMARY:Legacy & Light: Chesapeake Arts Center's 25th Anniversary Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:As part of the Chesapeake Arts Center’s 25th Anniversary celebration\, the Legacy & Light Exhibitions honor the artists\, stories\, and creative vision that have shaped CAC over the past quarter century—while looking ahead to the next generation of artistic expression. \nThe Legacy Exhibition brings together past CAC artists working in a wide range of disciplines\, including oil\, photography\, ceramics\, woodworking\, textiles\, mixed media\, watercolor\, and acrylic. These works reflect the depth\, diversity\, and lasting impact of the artistic community that has grown alongside CAC since its founding in 2001. \nThe Light exhibition will feature an exploration of light as both a medium and concept\, and artwork that glows under a UV/blacklight. CAC has illuminated pathways for artistic expression and community connection over the past 25 years\, and Light is essential to how we experience art—it shapes perception\, highlights detail\, and creates atmosphere—but it also symbolizes something larger: clarity\, possibility\, and forward movement. This exhibition invites artists to step into a reimagined space—one that symbolizes innovation\, experimentation\, and the evolving future of the arts at CAC. In this exhibition\, what was once unseen becomes visible\, reminding us that the future is not fixed\, but something we create together. \nApplications will be accepted through Friday\, May 29\,2026. \nReception is June 25\, 2026 from 6-8pm and open to the public.

DESCRIPTION:Join Classic Theatre of Maryland in the charming outdoor Courtyard at Reynolds Tavern for Molière’s timeless comedy Tartuffe\, directed by Sally Boyett.  This hilarious satire of hypocrisy\, greed\, and blind faith brings mistaken identities and clever schemes to life under the stars\, promising laughter and delight for audiences of all ages.  Enjoy professional theatre under the stars with Classic Theatre of Maryland and Reynolds Tavern — a beloved Annapolis summer tradition that has thrilled audiences since 2013. \nPerformances are on Tuesdays at 7:30pm in the outdoor Courtyard at Reynolds Tavern in Annapolis. Seating begins at 6:30pm.  Tickets should be purchased through Classic Theatre of Maryland.
