SUMMARY:Legacy & Light: Chesapeake Arts Center's 25th Anniversary Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:As part of the Chesapeake Arts Center’s 25th Anniversary celebration\, the Legacy & Light Exhibitions honor the artists\, stories\, and creative vision that have shaped CAC over the past quarter century—while looking ahead to the next generation of artistic expression. \nThe Legacy Exhibition brings together past CAC artists working in a wide range of disciplines\, including oil\, photography\, ceramics\, woodworking\, textiles\, mixed media\, watercolor\, and acrylic. These works reflect the depth\, diversity\, and lasting impact of the artistic community that has grown alongside CAC since its founding in 2001. \nThe Light exhibition will feature an exploration of light as both a medium and concept\, and artwork that glows under a UV/blacklight. CAC has illuminated pathways for artistic expression and community connection over the past 25 years\, and Light is essential to how we experience art—it shapes perception\, highlights detail\, and creates atmosphere—but it also symbolizes something larger: clarity\, possibility\, and forward movement. This exhibition invites artists to step into a reimagined space—one that symbolizes innovation\, experimentation\, and the evolving future of the arts at CAC. In this exhibition\, what was once unseen becomes visible\, reminding us that the future is not fixed\, but something we create together. \nApplications will be accepted through Friday\, May 29\,2026. \nReception is June 25\, 2026 from 6-8pm and open to the public.

DESCRIPTION:Tickets are now on sale for AMFM’s second ITVO show of the 2026 season\, In The Vane Of Yacht Rock\, that smooth\, melodic soft rock from the late ’70s and ’80s.  The show takes place at Rams Head On Stage on Monday\, June 29\, 2026\, at 7pm. Tickets are $35 per person. \nFeatured artists include Meg Murray\, Jimi Davies\, Rick Ferrell\, Honey Sol\, Michael K\, SVV Duo\, Major Company\, Leslie Webber\, Arcade\, Local Souls\, One Night Only\, Shawn Owen\, Danah Denice\, Guava Jelly\, and Animal Farm. \nThe “In The Vane Of…” series is a concept that mixes the familiarity of your favorite songs along with new tunes inspired by a featured legendary artist – but this time it’s the Yacht Rock genre – all performed by local Annapolis musicians. \nEach featured act will perform one Yacht Rock song and one original song in the style of\, about\, or in tribute to Yacht Rock. \nAll proceeds support Annapolis Musicians Fund for Musicians\, Inc.
