SUMMARY:"Share Your Story with Pride" Art Show Submissions
DESCRIPTION:Show your Pride through art! Interested artists and crafters of all ages can submit their paintings\, drawings\, graphic designs\, photography\, collages\, poetry/written word submissions\, and handicrafts (anything that can be hung on the wall!)  to be part of our “Share Your Story With Pride” Art Show. \nArt submissions will be accepted at the Odenton Library\, Maryland City at Russet Library\, and Severna Park Library from Tuesday\, May 26 through Tuesday\, June 23. Please fill out the Submission Form to turn in with your artwork (attached below or available at the art submission branches). A virtual submission can be submitted here. \nThe Art Reception will be on Monday\, June 29\, from 6 pm – 7:30 pm. The art will be displayed in our meeting room until Tuesday\, August 11\, and can be viewed during our Queer Pride Hangout and Gallery Hours. \nDon’t know what to make? Come to one of our tie-in art programs at the Severna Park Library\, Odenton Library\, or Maryland City at  Russett Library. \nSubmissions are open to people of all ages connected to the broad and inclusive umbrella of the LGBTQ+ community. Art can be displayed anonymously or under a pseudonym. \nFor more information\, call the Odenton Library at (410) 222-6277.

British occupation of several colonies\, combined with Congress’s non-importation policy on British goods\, makes essential supplies increasingly scarce for tradespeople.  \nCatharine Futier\, a free Black woman who earns her living as a laundress and seamstress\, is among those deeply affected by these restrictions. Step into her shop and journey into the past to discover how everyday people endured hardship\, adapted\, and made sacrifices in support of the revolutionary cause.  \nThis is a drop-in style program. Visitors may join at any time during program hours and explore at their own pace through informal interaction and demonstrations. Advance registration recommended\, but not required.

DESCRIPTION:The full and complete Paint Annapolis Exhibition officially opens with an Opening Reception from 5 to 7 PM\, where you get to see all the public artists works as well as additional juried artists works.  Public\, Teen and Young Artist awards are announced during this reception\, including the awards selected by the Mayor of Annapolis. The Pop Up Gallery and Circle Gallery are open daily for two weeks following the reception to give the public an opportunity to see and purchase artwork created during this historic week.
