  • About the Artist:

    Arianna is the CEO and Founder of Story Tapestries. A sought-after writer, performer, and educator, she is considered a leader in arts integration and storytelling. Arianna creates international, dynamic programs that weave the power of dance, theatre, and music. She combines the arts, language, and STEM with social emotional approaches to support the development of individuals and the community. She has taught professional development for early childhood educators for 10 years. She was trained by Wolf Trap and John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. She is known for her ability to entertain and educate children and adults with equal success. She has performed at The Reach, The National Theatre, Hillwood Museum, Millennium Stage, and the National Association of the Educators of Young Children as well as many others. For over 24 years, she has performed and taught workshops across the United States, India, and Brazil in concert halls, libraries, and schools.

      Description:

      Sit back and get ready to Dance, Laugh, and Play through the streets of Brazil, America, Mexico, Indonesia, Egypt, or India. After experiencing this multi-lingual storytelling program, leave the program ready to hop on a plane and see the universe, dancing to the tunes of the world and wanting to tell your own stories and those of cultures all over the world.

      The poetry of the sea, the myths of the past, and fairy tales of the underwater world capture our hearts with the bright oranges and blues of the coral, fish, fairy, and folk traditions. Travel around the world and dive into the ocean with only your imagination, voice, and body.

      Description:

      The history of immigration in the United States told through Dance, Music, and Story. Travel back in time to hear historical stories of immigration to the United States from the 1600s to the present day. Celebrate our journey to and survival in a new land. Discover how each community adds another square to the quilt of America with their different stories, culture, and traditions.

      Program Costs:

      $650 - $750 single performance; $850 - $1000 back-to-back performances
      $875 author’s visit and performance
      $200 - $225 single workshops; $950/ for a day of 5 workshops back to back; $4750 for a full week of workshops

      Planning and Evaluation Meetings: For Residencies = $200 per meeting (1 artist plus 1 staff member)
      Curricula Planning Hours may be added at a rate of $150 per hour if deemed necessary.

      Travel requirements or restrictions:

      Federal Mileage rates will be included to and from the location each day of the engagement.

      Additional Notes:

      For those schools that need 100% financial support to afford a program, there are new financial opportunities that we can avail to serve those needs. NO school, NO child should be denied an artist at their school due to funding constraints
