Description:
Students discover the world of jazz singing and touring, as well as explore jazz music and an improvisational language skill called “scatting” (bop-bop be-bop)! They will learn to sing a jazz melody and take on the social issue of bullying and adversity through our lyrical adaptation of the song, Hit the Road, Jack! Through creativity, collaboration and an analysis, they will showcase knowledge and skills for their peers. Designed to engage, educate and foster an appreciation for the American genre of music known as jazz.
Program can be done live, or pre-recorded as a virtual program in 15, 20, 30, or 45 minute time frames, with the artist and a trio of musicians, or by the artist in a theater/studio setting, complete with visuals.
Programs can be adapted for the classroom/student age. Program fees are negotiable.
